My Story

Mandy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating mood and addictive disorders, as well as addressing grief. She received a Bachelor’s degree of Arts in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University. Through her internship, Mandy was able to work directly with students seeking therapeutic support in St. Martin Parish. Mandy has worked as head counselor in juvenile inpatient treatment, Social Director in geriatric long-term care facilities, and a counselor at Lake Wellness Intensive Outpatient Program treating substance use disorders. She is the In-School Program Director at Healing House, Hope for Grieving Children, where she has created a program to provide grief support to children in Acadiana schools. Mandy has joined Inner Light Therapy Center with the hope of helping others overcome any obstacles preventing them from living their most fulfilling life. Mandy also provides therapy for couples and relationship building, improving self-worth, victims of trauma and PTSD, narcissistic abuse survivors, and other challenges. Mandy embarked on her aspiration to provide support to others after her own personal struggle with addiction and depression in 2016, where she truly learned the value of receiving mental health therapy and how necessary it is for the healing process.
